Visit Haiti!
As part of our mission to build relationships between Haitian and American communities we offer an Immersion - Retreat visit to Haiti. During these visits to Haiti our goal is to provide a continuing presence of friendship with the people who meet us along the way. During the Immersion-Retreat Visit we spend 10 days traveling in Haiti, visiting orphanages, clinics and getting to know the people of Haiti. Whenever possible, we give visitors a glimpse into the lives of the Haitian people through their environment, their culture, their faith and their way of life. We visit organizations doing tremendous work in Haiti, we play with the children at the orphanages and hospitals, and we invite speakers to talk to our guests on different topics including: justice and peace, politics, religion, language, and culture in Haiti. Each day is filled with new experiences and with new friends who you will remember long after you have returned home.
How can I attend an Immersion Retreat Visit?
We will arrange an Immersion Retreat visit for groups of 6-12. Please contact Emily@haitianministries.org for more information. Please note that young people traveling to Haiti must be at least 18 years old and high school graduates.
