Medical Programs
Basic health care is considered a luxury in Haiti where most people cannot afford to be seen by a doctor, much less pay for necessary medication. To address this problem Haitian Ministries supports the following programs:

- Notre Dame de Lourdes Neighborhood Medical Clinic: In addition to Foyer des Filles, Paula Thybulle founded a clinic to provide quality health care to poor people. The clinic is opened daily and provides a professional consultation and medical treatment for less than three dollars. This clinic offers internal, pediatric, dental, and ophthalmologic care.
- Emergency Medical Assistance: In a country where there is only 1 doctor for every 10,000 people, many Haitians die needlessly through lack of medical attention. At Norwich Mission House we provide funds for medical treatment, operations and medication to our neighbors in emergency situations.
|
Medical Missions to Haiti: Haitian Ministries sends medical missions to Haiti to provide much needed medical care to those most in need. Teams of doctors, nurses and lab technicians work hand-in-hand with Haitian care-givers at Notre Dame de Lourdes (Paula Thybulle's medical clinic and mobile clinic) to reach out into the communities without medical care. The goals of these missions are to allow for a meaningful exchange between medical caregivers - sharing experience and techniques and to provide material and technical support to Haitian medical institutions.
